The peaceful blue sky?
The gentle breezes blowing through the palm trees?
Do the waves crashing on the rocks make you feel nervous?
Why is that person sitting alone?
Have you ever found how you look at something can change
depending how you feel or what is going on in your life?
For over twenty years, I had the honor of being a part of many patients lives during some of their greatest challenges. During the height of my career as a flight nurse, I began to notice the impact of serious medical conditions on a patients ability to cope. It seemed this was greatly influenced on how each person viewed their situation, goals they set for themselves to get better, or even die with dignity.
This led me to pursue a major career shift toward clinical psychology. As a compliment to my extensive medical background, I found behavioral health psychology was the perfect balance to truly understand how everyone can be their best with whatever challenges they face.
As a Licensed Psychologist, the treatment I offer is
Brief, Problem-Focused, and Goal Oriented
Using research-based interventions, I have helped many men and women lead very satisfying, healthy and thriving lives even though they are suffering from anxiety, headaches, insomnia or medical conditions. Sometimes they were going through career changes, having problems in school, or relationship issues. Through education, values identification and clarification, goal development, and the application of skills learned in therapy, you too will be supported in making choices that will help you reach your goals to improve your quality of life.
I invite you to talk with me to overcome the struggle in your life.
